Lead Carpenter / Foreman — Full-Time (Pay $35-45/hr based on skill set)
Steffes Construction is hiring an experienced Lead Carpenter / Foreman to join our team and help lead high-end residential remodeling projects in the greater Seattle–Bellevue area.For over 40 years, Steffes Construction has specialized in quality residential remodels, including kitchens, bathrooms, bedroom suites, and whole-home renovations. We’re known for exceptional craftsmanship, reliability, and customer service.This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can perform skilled carpentry while managing day-to-day job site operations, crews, subcontractors, schedules, and client communication.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily operations on assigned remodeling projects
- Perform hands-on carpentry alongside crew and subcontractors
- Read and interpret plans, drawings, specifications, and schedules
- Complete and oversee all phases of construction, including demo, framing, siding, trim, windows/doors, cabinetry, and finish work
- Ensure projects stay on schedule, within scope, and meet quality standards
- Coordinate tools, materials, deliveries, and job site logistics
- Assign tasks, manage workflow, and support crew productivity
- Maintain safe, clean, organized job sites
- Communicate with clients and collaborate regularly with the Project Manager
- Support multiple job sites as needed
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in residential remodeling and construction
- Strong rough and finish carpentry skills
- Working knowledge of all major building trades
- Leadership experience managing crews and subcontractors
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Detail-oriented, organized, dependable, and solution-focused
- Able to lift 60+ lbs and perform physical job duties (standing, kneeling, bending, overhead work)
- Valid driver’s license
- Reliable truck or van
- Must provide own general hand and power tools (company provides maintenance/personal tools)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35.00 – $45.00 per hour
