Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Service Team Member to join our dynamic restaurant team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, preparing food, handling transactions, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in food service or the food industry, with a focus on delivering a positive dining experience for all guests.
Duties
- Prepare and assemble food items according to established recipes and standards
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and cash handling
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely service
- Handle cash transactions, process payments, and provide correct change
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, dining areas, and kitchen equipment in compliance with food safety standards
- Assist in upselling menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed at all times
- Manage time effectively to serve customers promptly during busy periods
- Support team members in various restaurant operations as needed
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, food service, or cashiering roles within a restaurant or food industry setting
- Familiarity with POS systems, especially Micros POS, for efficient transaction processing
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation standards
- Basic math skills for cash handling and order calculations
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Kitchen experience or restaurant background is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Upselling techniques to promote menu items and enhance guest satisfaction
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.85-$20.45 per hour
