Full job description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Finance Officer and Administrative Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for managing accounts receivables, OHIP submissions, reconciliation of payments, filing invoices and monthly book-keeping. Furthermore, this individual will be responsible for providing administrative support to our team of Optometrists in managing patient scheduling, referrals to other physicians and other clerical tasks. This role requires very strong organizational skills, attention to detail, strong customer communication skills, and the ability to handle confidential information.
Responsibilities:
– Perform data entry and maintain financial records
– Prepare and process invoices, expense reports, and other financial documents
– Assist management team with budget preparation and monitoring
– Reconcile bank statements and financial discrepancies
– Assist with payroll processing and employee expense reimbursements
– Provide customer support and respond to inquiries regarding financial transactions
– Maintain an organized filing system for financial documents
– Assist with other administrative tasks as needed
Requirements:
– Proven experience in a similar finance or administrative role
– Proficient in computerized accounting systems, MS Office Suite and Mac OS
– Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy
– Excellent organizational and time management skills
– Knowledge of basic accounting principles
– Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
– Strong written and verbal communication skills
– Experience with phone systems and excellent phone etiquette
– Customer service-oriented mindset

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $19.50-$24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 39 per week
