Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Financial Controller to oversee the financial operations of our online retail business. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. This role requires a strong background in accounting software and financial analysis, with a focus on supporting the company’s growth and operational efficiency.
Duties
- Manage and oversee all accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and budgets to support strategic decision-making.
- Perform account reconciliations and account analysis to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and other platforms to maintain up-to-date financial records.
- Monitor cash flow and coordinate banking activities to optimize liquidity management.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist with audits as needed.
- Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and reporting systems.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role in an online retail environment or e-commerce sector.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and other relevant platforms.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, account reconciliation, account analysis, and budgeting processes.
- Experience managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial reporting.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments to achieve organizational goals.
Pay: $97,418.93-$184,641.70 per year
