URGENTLY HIRING – FIELD TECHNICIAN (OTTAWA, ONTARIO)

We are currently expanding our team in OTTAWA and are urgently hiring hard-working, self-motivated Field Technicians to join our outstanding team.
This is a hands-on, rewarding, and dynamic role with a leading company in the gas and appliance service industry. You’ll be part of a supportive team, provided with full training, and equipped to succeed.
Location:
Ottawa, Ontario (travel throughout the local service area required)
Responsibilities:
- Begin your day from home or our Ottawa office and travel to scheduled job sites
- Work independently at residential and commercial properties
- Clean, repair, and restore barbeques on-site to Barbeque Pro Inc. standards
- Install and service gas appliances and exterior gas lines in compliance with TSSA standards
- Use mobile app to document work (notes, photos, estimates, invoicing)
- Educate customers on proper BBQ care and maintenance
- Maintain cleanliness of your vehicle, tools, and job sites
- Follow all company policies and safety procedures
Qualifications:
- G2 Gas License an asset
- Experience with power tools (grinder, drill)
- Valid G-class driver’s license and access to your own vehicle (daily travel required)
- Must own a smartphone (Android or iPhone) to use company software
- Physically able to lift 25–50 lbs and work outdoors in all weather
- Must wear assigned PPE and work safely at all times
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
Pay Structure:
- Training provided — paid at $20.00–$23.00/hour
- Uniforms, tools, equipment, and supplies provided by the company
- Once trained, pay moves to piece-work (per-job basis)
- Trained techs typically earn $195–$240/day (3 jobs/day)
- Experienced techs may earn $260–$320/day (4+ jobs/day)
- Opportunities available to add extra jobs (more jobs = more income)
- Technicians often receive cash tips from clients
Employment Details:
- Full-time seasonal role (March to December)
- Not a part-time position
- Bi-weekly mileage reimbursement for use of personal vehicle
