Position Overview
As a Field Manager, you play a central role in overseeing all field operations across multiple trade types throughout South Central Wisconsin. You are responsible for jobsite supervision, quality assurance, crew coordination, schedule execution, and maintaining manufacturer and company standards. Your work directly influences project success, customer satisfaction, and our company’s reputation for top-tier craftsmanship.
Job Responsibilities
1. Field Operations & Crew Management
- Supervise and support all trade crews, including roofing, siding, windows, doors, gutters, and specialty trades
- Directly manage a core installation crew and oversee subcontractors as needed
- Maintain daily oversight of job progress, workmanship, and safety
- Provide field coaching, corrections, and performance feedback to crews
- Adjust schedules in response to weather, material issues, or site conditions
- Oversee subcontractor performance and ensure compliance with company standards
- Ensure site cleanup before crew leaves worksite
- Resolve returns, whether grouping them on pallet for vendor pickup or returning to vendor store
- Perform minor repair work while a contracted crew is working on the site or “punch-list” repairs on projects that were completed by a contracted crew
2. Project Execution
- Conduct pre-job site evaluation of pre-existing conditions
- Review scopes of work with crews on site
- Verify material accuracy and readiness before work begins
- Ensure all jobsites are set up with proper tools, safety equipment, and documentation
4. Customer Experience & Resolution
- Clearly communicate installation processes, changes in scope, or delays
- Serve as the field-level escalation point for customer questions or concerns
- Conduct homeowner final walk-throughs at job completion
- Deliver a professional, solutions-oriented experience for every customer
5. Administrative Responsibilities
- Maintain complete, accurate project records and job files
- Document crew work performance, jobsite observations, and material use
- Use company CRM (e.g., AccuLynx) for all project tracking and reporting
6. Operational Excellence
- Continuously improve field workflows for efficiency and safety
7. Safety and Compliance
- Enforce safety protocols and regulatory compliance on every job site
- Ensure crews follow OSHA, manufacturer guidelines, and EPA regulations
- Respond to jobsite incidents or violations and report promptly
Pay: $52,000.00 – $60,000.00 per year
