Availability to Work:

Full 24/7 availability is required. Shifts are typically 8 hours per day, 5 days per week, and may include early mornings, days, afternoons, evenings, overnights, and weekends based on business needs. Flexibility across all shifts is essential.


About Us

Carpenter Enterprises (B.C.) Inc.is an independently owned and operated franchise of McDonald’s located in Greater Victoria. We are currently seekingFast Food Restaurant Managersto lead operations across multiple restaurant locations.

This is a permanent full-time leadership role responsible for overall restaurant performance, including operations, people development, financial results, and guest experience.


Position Summary

The Fast Food Restaurant Manager plans, organizes, directs, controls, and evaluates the operations of a fast-paced restaurant. This role is accountable for driving operational excellence, developing people, and achieving financial targets through effective leadership.


Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily restaurant operations
  • Develop and implement operational procedures to meet company standards
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of 11–15+ employees, including supervisors and department managers
  • Build sales and profitability through effective business and people strategies
  • Analyze financial reports and implement action plans to achieve targets
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food safety regulations
  • Set staff schedules, monitor performance, and conduct performance evaluations
  • Address customer complaints and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and supplier relationships
  • Participate in and execute marketing initiatives
  • Oversee cash handling, financial controls, and reporting processes


Qualifications

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 to 2 years of management experience in food service or a related industry
  • Experience supervising and leading teams of 16-20+ employees
  • Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Client-focused with strong interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized, reliable, and accountable
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment


Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Familiarity with MS Windows and MS Access
  • Experience with accounting software
  • Experience using POS systems and electronic cash registers


Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

  • 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week
  • Combination of on-floor management and administrative duties
  • Prolonged standing and walking
  • Frequent bending, lifting, and reaching
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Exposure to kitchen equipment and cleaning chemicals
  • Fast-paced, dynamic work environment
