Overview
We are seeking a skilled mechanic to join our team! We are searching for a secondary mechanic to work alongside our primary mechanic. The ideal candidate will have experience in maintaining and repairing heavy equipment, including tractor-trailers and hydraulic systems. This role requires a strong understanding of OEM specifications and the ability to work with various hand tools. The mechanic will be responsible for ensuring that all machinery operates efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on farm equipment and machinery.
- Diagnose mechanical issues and troubleshoot problems effectively.
- Fabricate parts as needed to ensure optimal performance of equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed on each piece of equipment.
- Collaborate with team members to improve operational efficiency and safety practices.
- Utilize hand tools and diagnostic equipment to perform repairs.
Skills NEEDED:
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, air brake systems, suspension components, etc.
- Ability to fabricate parts when necessary.
- Proficient in using hand tools and diagnostic equipment effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently AS WELL AS part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
