Your Role

As an Experienced Family Lawyer, you will:

  • Handle family law matters with confidence and empathy.
  • Advocate for clients in negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings.
  • Contribute to firm development initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Provide legal advice and representation to clients in various matters.
  • Conduct thorough research on legal issues and case law using tools such as LexisNexis.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
  • Prepare legal briefs, motions, and pleadings for court proceedings.
  • Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and court hearings.
  • Maintain accurate records of case files and documentation.
  • Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations relevant to practice areas.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to ensure comprehensive client service.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • A member of Alberta Law Society, or plan to become a member.
  • Proven experience in legal research, writing, and drafting documents.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to advocate effectively for clients.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00-$180,000.00 per year
