Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented Environmental Specialist with to join our team. This role will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the upkeep and cleanliness of our facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in janitorial services, with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently
Primary Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, kitchens, patient rooms and common areas according to established cleanliness standards.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and/or polish floors.
- Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste in accordance with company policies.
- Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors.
- Restock supplies in restrooms and common areas.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines when performing custodian tasks.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Report any safety hazards or maintenance issues to management promptly.
- Provide reports on custodian tasks as required.
- Coordinate with other departments or external contractors as needed.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve common goals and objectives.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a custodian, or similar role.
- Experience with janitorial tasks and cleaning procedures.
- Ability to handle physical workload and lift heavy objects.
- Basic understanding of health and safety regulations.
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification is a plus.
