7:30am-4pm
Every other weekend and every other holiday is required.

Essential Functions Statement(s):
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and disinfect resident rooms and bathrooms.
- Sanitize high-touch surfaces such as handrails, door handles, light switches, and call lights.
- Clean common areas including dining rooms, hallways, therapy spaces, and lounges.
- Follow infection prevention protocols, including proper PPE use and disinfectant contact times.
- Collect and remove trash and soiled linen according to facility procedures.
- Perform routine floor care such as sweeping, mopping, and spot cleaning.
- Respond promptly to spills and urgent cleaning requests.
- Safely use cleaning chemicals and equipment per training and Safety Data Sheets.
- Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply needs.
- Complete cleaning logs and assigned checklists.
- Interact respectfully with residents, visitors, and coworkers.
- Assist in resident room moves
Additional Key Responsibilities
- Perform terminal cleaning of rooms after discharge or transfer.
- Follow isolation and enhanced cleaning procedures during outbreaks.
- Stock paper goods, soap, sanitizer, and other restroom supplies.
- Maintain organized housekeeping closets and storage areas.
- Transport trash, recyclables, and linen carts to designated areas.
- Clean vents, baseboards, ledges, and other detail areas as assigned.
- Assist with emergency cleanups (floods, spills, accidents).
- Support facility inspections and surveys by maintaining assigned areas.
- Follow proper clean-to-dirty workflow.
- Secure chemicals and equipment when not in use.
- Observe and report resident concerns or unusual conditions to nursing staff.
- Comply with HIPAA and resident privacy standards.
- Attend staff meetings and required in-services.
- Cross-train in other Environmental Services tasks as needed.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: Less than high school education
Experience: No prior experience necessary
Other Requirements: Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
Ability to deal tactfully with residents, co-workers, family members, Mount Carmel staff and visitors. Demonstrate ability to follow written and oral instruction with little supervision.
