Position: Dispatcher (Non-Emergent) – This is a 12 hour shift position
Salary: $16 per hour

Salary:
- $16/hr. This position is an hourly paid, non-exempt position with built in overtime.
Qualified candidates must have the following:
- A High School Diploma (or G.E.D. equivalent)
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology
- Valid Texas Driver’s License and reliable transportation to and from work
- Ability to work shift work on a rotational shift basis
- Must be able to type at least 40-60wpm
- The ability to effectively produce quality work performance in a high-paced, high-stress environment
- Ability to effectively and efficiently take phone calls and radio traffic simultaneously
Primary Performance duties might include:
- Answering a telephone system of at least 4 lines
- Collect, enter into computer, and disseminate caller/patient information
- Communicate with transport crews, supervisors, and administrators via radio, telephone, or text
- Track medical and non-medical units with the aid of computer software
- Dispatch units according to standard company policy and procedures
- Maintain accurate time records for company transport units
- Answering caller questions related to fees and estimate cost of service
Preference will be given to the candidate that:
- Has and demonstrates the capacity to be an extremely effective communicator
- Experience in handling multiple units on the road within a similar discipline
- Possesses a Medical Terminology vocabulary
- Possesses a high level of computer proficiency
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 per hour
