Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and organized Dispatcher to join our team. As a Dispatcher, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and managing the transportation of goods and materials. Your excellent communication skills and attention to detail will ensure the smooth operation of our supply chain.
Responsibilities:
– Booking loads from open load board, knowledge of Xpert software.
– Receive and process customer orders for shipping and receiving
– Coordinate with drivers and carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries
– Communicate with customers to provide updates on shipment status
– Utilize transportation management systems to track shipments
– Ensure accurate documentation of all transactions and maintain records
– Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment as needed
– Collaborate with internal teams to resolve any issues or delays in transportation
– Provide exceptional customer service by promptly addressing inquiries or concerns
Requirements:
– Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a 3PL environment
– Strong phone etiquette and communication skills
– Proficient in using phone systems and computer applications
– Knowledge of shipping, receiving, and supply chain processes
– Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS) such as AS400
– Ability to type accurately and efficiently
