Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dishwasher/helper for weekends to join our team in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The Dishwasher plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness of our kitchen, storage and dining areas, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized.
Duties
- Operate dishwashing machines to clean dishes, pots, pans, and utensils efficiently.
- Manually wash items as needed, ensuring all items are free from food residue.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing area, dry rooms and storage area.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as required by the kitchen staff.
- Help keep the kitchen area clean by sweeping, mopping, and taking out the trash.
- Support other kitchen staff during peak hours to ensure smooth operations.
- Follow all health and safety regulations related to food handling and sanitation.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a food service or restaurant environment is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of proper food handling techniques is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks as needed.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy items when necessary.
