Press Brake Operator Jobs in Naugatuck, CT at US Fabricating
US Fabricating, a precision Sheet Metal Fabricator in Naugatuck, is looking for a Precision Sheet Metal Press Brake Setup/Operator. This position is responsible for operating Amada CNC Brake Presses to form parts to exact specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Setup and/or operate brake press with correct program and tooling.
- Read and interpret blueprints and work orders to ensure precise fabrication.
- Use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to check parts for accuracy and defects.
- Perform Setups for, and monitor, other operators.
- Complete production paperwork and follow data collection procedures.
- Participate in Corrective Action / Continuous Improvement efforts
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Proven experience operating brake press machines in a manufacturing environment required (Amada experience preferred)
- Ability to read blueprints, proficiency in using hand tools and measuring instruments, and basic math skills.
- Ability to lift, stand for long periods, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and focus on quality.
- Strong safety awareness and commitment to following workplace safety protocols
Typical Physical Demands:
- Lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Handling materials and tools safely.
