Responsibilities
- Wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment promptly to maintain a clean and safe workspace
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, assembling ingredients, and portioning to support chefs and cooks
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas including counters, floors, and storage spaces in accordance with health standards
- Support catering and banquet setups by organizing supplies and ensuring timely food prep for events
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and sanitation protocols
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service during busy hours and special events
- Contribute to a positive team environment by staying motivated, adaptable, and proactive in assisting wherever needed
Skills
- Experience in food service or restaurant environments preferred; familiarity with kitchen operations is a plus
- Knowledge of food handling safety standards and sanitation practices
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy items, standing for extended periods, and bending frequently
- Strong attention to detail for cleaning, organizing, and food prep tasks
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors
- Previous banquet or catering experience is advantageous but not required; eagerness to learn is essential
