Job Description
Reporting to the CEO, the Sourcing & Procurement Director is responsible for overseeing the development and execution of purchasing and sourcing programs. ensuring that activities are aligned with maximizing sales and margins,
Key Responsibilities:
· Lead the Procurement team, ensuring end-to-end commercial accountability across all categories, with a focus on the successful delivery of our commercial and procurement strategy, especially within meat categories.
· Identify and manage risks across procurement categories to safeguard the organization’s interests.
· Align meat category procurement efforts with retail and franchisee needs, enhancing the effectiveness of Merchandising Programs.
· Oversee the complete procurement process, including communication and coordination with both local and international vendors.
· Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to secure the best product selection, competitive pricing, and value.
· Work closely with internal departments and stores to coordinate promotional campaigns, marketing materials, project timelines, and follow-up actions for product launches.
· Address and resolve any issues related to orders, shipments, and customer inquiries promptly.
· Carry out additional responsibilities as needed to ensure the success of the role.
Qualifications:
· A university degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field.
· At least 3 years of procurement experience in the retail industry, with a significant focus on meat categories, such as poultry, beef, or pork.
· Experience in handling North American suppliers is a must.
· 5+ years of managing procurement teams.
· Experience establishing a procurement organization’s way of workings, process and policies.
· Strong knowledge, passion, and awareness of Asian food products preferred.
· Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are required.
·Knowledge of Mandarin is a plus.
