Full job description
We are hiring:
1 Full Time Driver – 5 Days / Week, Hours 9am – 5pm
Employee Position:
As an employee of R.E.Delivery your responsibilities will be to operate company owned vehicles to manage daily pickup and delivery schedules. We deliver; consumer goods, and furniture. The ideal candidate must have a clean driving record (2 Demerit Points or Less) and should have experience as a delivery driver or similar setting. Most important skills are problem solving and ability to organize tasks quickly and efficiently. Memory and understanding of street systems is important for success. Candidates should be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Primarily; we perform courier services where drivers must be able to walk long distances and perform physical activity throughout the day. We use a broad range of technology and information systems to complete proof of delivery. We perform furniture delivery and over weight delivery services. Candidates should be able to work as a team performing heavy lifting and maneuvering large objects carefully.
Required:
· Commercial driving and delivery experience
· Valid G driver’s license and clean drivers abstract is mandatory and must be provided
· Able to lift and carry heavy loads up to 75 lbs, walk long distances and work in adverse conditions
· Able to organize and prioritize tasks accurately in a fast paced environment
· Good memory and recall. Able to understand street systems and create associations
· Able to communicate effectively, follow instructions and work independently
Other Qualifications:
· Experience driving various delivery vehicles including cargo vans, cube vans, step vans, heavy machinery, etc.
· Experience using hand held scanners. Understanding of IT and database functionality.
· Experience using material handling equipment; hand carts and dollies
