About the role
HDP Network Solutions is growing its Locate Services team, and we're looking for a dedicated locator — someone assigned to a single client's infrastructure, not bouncing between tickets across a route. You'll build deep knowledge of one network, work directly with the client's project teams, and own the quality of every locate you deliver.
This is the dedicated locator model done right: consistency, accountability, and the time to do the job properly.
What you'll do
- Perform accurate locates on telecom and utility infrastructure using electromagnetic locating equipment
- Complete clear, complete documentation for every locate, meeting client and regulatory standards
- Work directly with client project managers, contractors, and excavators in the field
- Identify and escalate discrepancies between records and field conditions
- Represent HDP professionally on active construction sites
What you bring
- Experience in utility locating (telecom experience is a strong asset)
- Solid EM locating fundamentals and a clean damage record
- Valid G driver's licence and clean driver's abstract
- Comfortable working independently and managing your own schedule
- DPT certification or willingness to obtain it — we'll support you through the ORCGA program
