Myticas Consulting’s Calgary based client is looking for a Senior Data Modeler for a long-term hybrid contract opportunity.
Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field 8+ years of experience in Data Modeling, data integration and ETL development
Demonstrated experience/knowledge with data modelling techniques, ERD, enterprise data Familiar in building from conceptual/ logical data model to physical data models
Minimum 8 years of practical,
hands-on
project experience with designing and implementing data models in large enterprise databases
Proficiency in relational SQL and No
SQL database technologies
Familiarity with data modeling software such as Visual Paradigm, Microsoft Visio, SAP Power Designer, Lucidchart, or erwin Data Modeler Demonstrated experience designing and deploying various analytical data modeling methodologies (e.g., Star, Snowflake, Kimball, Inmon, Data Vault 2.0) Knowledge of data architecture, data engineering, and ETL principles Knowledge of slowly changing dimension (SCD) implementations
Demonstrated experience with other ETL platforms/frameworks considered an asset (e.g., Talend, dbt, Data Stage)
Proficiency in SQL, Python, or other scripting languages
Knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL principles
Demonstrated experience designing and deploying various analytical data modeling methodologies (e.g., Star, Snowflake, Kimball, Inmon, Data Vault 2.0)
