The Role
We build data and AI solutions that drive real business outcomes for Private Equity portfolio companies. We're looking for a Data & AI leader who can design the architecture, run the implementation, and grow the team around them.
This is a full-stack leadership role. You'll own the design of end-to-end data and AI solutions from the first whiteboard session with a client through to deployment and adoption. You'll lead a team of data engineers, business analysts, and data visualization specialists, and have influence over who joins that team. You'll also have the flexibility to lean into other areas of the firm as we grow, including business development, commercial strategy, and internal AI enablement initiatives.

What You'll Do
- Design end-to-end data and AI architectures that are scalable and pragmatic
- Lead delivery across the full project lifecycle, including discovery, design, development, testing & validation, deployment, hypercharge, and monitoring & observability
- Build data models that are clean, well-documented, and actually represent the business
- Manage and mentor a cross-functional team of data engineers, analysts, and visualization specialists
- Actively recruit and build the team around you as the practice grows
- Translate complex technical concepts for non-technical clients and stakeholders
- Bring a point of view on where AI creates real, measurable leverage for clients and help productize repeatable offerings
- Roll up your sleeves and build alongside the team when needed, including writing pipelines, building transformations, and working directly in the data platform
- Present architectural recommendations and roadmaps to client leadership, including CIOs, CTOs, and PE deal teams, and participate in steering committees throughout engagement
- Contribute to firm-wide commercial and strategic initiatives
What we are looking for
- Proven track record designing and delivering data and AI solutions that created tangible business value; able to speak in detail to past use cases and how they moved the business (8+ years’ experience preferred)
- Strong data modeling skills and the ability to evangelize their importance to clients
- Hands-on experience with modern data & AI stacks, including pipelines, orchestration, , transformations, master data management, visualization, and applied AI patterns including retrieval-augmented generation and agentic workflows
- Experience managing technical teams and getting the best out of people with different skill sets
- Willing and able to operate as a hands-on builder, not just a designer. Comfortable writing production quality code, building pipelines, and working in the stack alongside the team.
