Eller & Owens Furniture has been serving families throughout Western North Carolina and the surrounding region for more than 80 years. We are a family-owned furniture company built on trust, service, integrity, and long-standing customer relationships.

We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented, and emotionally steady Customer Service Coordinator to help manage our post-sale customer care process at our Murphy, NC location.

This position is not a typical front-counter customer service job. This role focuses on what happens after the sale: helping customers with product concerns, warranty issues, manufacturer claims, parts orders, damage reports, service follow-up, and resolution tracking.

The right person will be organized, patient, persistent, and able to communicate professionally even when a customer is frustrated. You must be able to listen carefully, document accurately, follow through consistently, and help move service issues toward a fair and timely resolution.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you will:

  • Respond to customer questions, concerns, complaints, and service requests after delivery or pickup
  • Document product issues, damage reports, defects, warranty claims, parts needs, and customer communications
  • Work directly with manufacturers, vendors, delivery teams, sales staff, and store management to help resolve service issues
  • File and follow up on manufacturer claims and warranty requests
  • Keep accurate records in our internal customer service system
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with customers throughout the process
  • Receive, organize, and track service parts
  • Help identify recurring service issues and recommend improvements
  • Represent Eller & Owens Furniture with professionalism, empathy, and accountability

Preferred Experience

Previous experience in one or more of the following is helpful:

  • Customer service
  • Retail support
  • Furniture, appliance, mattress, or home furnishings service
  • Warranty claims
  • Office administration
  • Dispatch, scheduling, or service coordination
  • Conflict resolution or complaint handling

Furniture experience is helpful, but not required. The most important qualities are dependability, organization, communication ability, and follow-through.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Must be able to work in person at our Murphy, NC location
  • Must be able to commute reliably to Murphy, NC
  • Must comply with company workplace policies
  • Must be willing to participate in our in-person interview process
