Our client is looking for a bilingual legal assistant with corporate secretarial experience in a public company. He will assist a VP and his team.

YOUR
ROLE:
As Legal Assistant, you will be responsible for the preparation of board documents and other financial and legal documents. Your responsibilities will include:
Preparing documents for meetings of the Board of Directors and its committees;
Prepare documents such as proxy circulars and annual information forms;
Coordinate Board and committee schedules;
Prepare federal, provincial and extra-provincial registrations;
Coordinate signing of contracts and legal documents;
File, download and transmit press releases, financial reports and other documents (SEDI/SEDAR/TSX);
Prepare and manage documents related to minutes and resolutions;
Participate in the payment of directors’ fees with the Finance and Payroll Department;
Assist the Vice-President with
document management
;
Receive telephone calls and resolve issues arising from calls or requests.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
College studies in Paralegal Technology;
Relevant experience in a similar position in a public company (an asset);
Good command of spoken and written French and English;
Excellent management of priorities and deadlines;
Precision
,
attention to detail
and meticulousness required;
Knowledge of Diligent Boards or a secure portal for board documentation;
Discretion and work ethic;
Respectful
of data protection and confidentiality policies;
Proactivity and good
problem-solving skills
