The Role:

We are seeking a lawyer with three (3) to seven (7) years of experience to join our growing Ottawa

business law team.

This is a team-oriented and client-focused role. We have a strong, dedicated, and collegial team,

with excellent supports in place to allow you to perform your best work.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will support our growing practice by assuming the following

responsibilities:

• Negotiating, drafting, reviewing, and managing a variety of corporate and commercial

contracts, including but not limited to, commercial leases, asset purchase agreements,

share purchase agreements, and franchise agreements (both Franchisor and Franchisee);

• Working on corporate reorganizations and financing transactions, including private

placements;

• Contributing to a collaborative and collegial team environment; and
• Creating strong and long-lasting connections with clients.

Requirements:

Knowledge and Skills:

• You have experience in mergers and acquisitions, commercial leases, franchise law, and

private securities;

• You deliver high-quality work;
• You have strong drafting and analytical skills and can assess complex issues, while

Minimum Qualifications:

• You are a member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
• 3-7 years of strong experience as a corporate/commercial lawyer.

Assets:

• Bilingualism is an asset, but not required.

Expected Compensation

The expected salary for a candidate with 3 years of experience is $105,000.00. Actual

compensation will be commensurate with experience, skills and qualifications.

Health benefits are provided after your first three months of employment.
