Reporting into the Capital Planning Lead, the Capital Analyst will support overseeing the end-to-end capital planning process across the organization. This role will assist in collaborating with operational leaders to gather their input and to review their capital fund allocation. They will manage the approved budgets and transfers within the ERP system, while maintaining records of capital expense projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the capital expenditure planning process from initiation to disbursement within the organization, ensuring efficient fund allocation  Collaborating with operational and functional leads to gather inputs for the planning process, fostering finance integration within operational functions  Manage approved budgets and execute necessary transfers within the ERP system, maintaining a comprehensive list of budgeted capital expense projects  Review all capital expense requests within the Workday approval flow to ensure adherence to capital eligibility criteria  Identify and resolve discrepancies in transactions, proactively recommending process enhancements to the Capital Planning Lead  Aid in the development of enhanced reporting mechanisms for capital expenses across the organization  Address inquiries from Business Unit Controllers regarding capital requests and needs  Assist in quarterly and annual audit activities related to capital expenditures  Undertake ad-hoc reporting and analytics tasks as necessary to support organizational objectives Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and

Competencies:

Relevant post-secondary

education

in Business, Finance or Accounting. CPA designation is an asset but not required  2 years of work experience required, preferably with fixed assets experience  Requires working knowledge of IFRS policies and procedures

Ability to

work with complex data sets, understand systems and data processing  Sharp

problem-solving skills

and eager to solve issues

Must be

able to manage efficiently in a high-pressure environment  Detail oriented and highly organized, ability to multi-task and prioritize in a

fast-paced environment

Good

communication skills

and the ability to work effectively in a team and with different departments

Experience with

Great Plains/Workday is an asset
