The Corporate and Administrative Services Officer is a senior-level consultant responsible for providing strategic leadership across corporate services, human resources, and administrative functions. This role will support executive leadership during a critical period of organizational transition and integration.
The consultant will work closely with the CEO and leadership teams to drive HR strategy, corporate governance, labour relations, and organizational change initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and operational oversight across corporate services and HR functions
- Support the CEO in implementing HR policies, corporate programs, and governance frameworks
- Lead workforce planning, performance management, and employee engagement initiatives
- Manage labour relations, including union and non-union environments
- Support strategic planning and execution of business objectives
- Drive organizational change management initiatives (including integration into Link Nova Scotia)
- Develop and improve corporate policies, procedures, and administrative systems
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance organizational culture
- Manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and complex stakeholder relationships
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 15+ years of senior-level experience in:
- Human Resources leadership
- Corporate services / business administration
- Proven experience managing complex, multi-disciplinary initiatives
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience working in complex or public-sector environments (preferred)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Required Skills
- Strong expertise in HR strategy, labour relations, and corporate governance
- Experience with workforce planning and performance management
- Change management and organizational transformation experience
- Strong interpersonal and executive communication skills
- High level of business acumen and strategic thinking
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field
- CHRP (Certified Human Resources Professional) designation
- Public sector or Crown corporation experience
- Experience supporting executive leadership (CEO-level exposure)
