Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Concrete journeyman, Form-setter, Finisher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in reading plans, running jobs, setting forms, concrete finishing and related construction tasks. This role involves working on various projects, ensuring high-quality finishes and installations while adhering to safety standards and project timelines. The Concrete Finisher will collaborate with other construction professionals to deliver exceptional results on every job.
Responsibilities
- Reading blueprints, properly setting up foundations
- Overseeing operations from beginning to end.
- Professional and hard working
- Form setting for various applications
- Prepare surfaces for concrete pouring, including grading and leveling.
- Mix, pour, and spread concrete according to specifications.
- Finish surfaces using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment.
- Apply sealants and coatings as required for durability and aesthetics.
- Perform masonry work as needed, including bricklaying and stone setting.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to operate power tools effectively and safely.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Assist in construction estimating by providing input on material needs and project timelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols.
Requirements
- Proven experience in concrete finishing or related construction fields.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate various power tools.
- Familiarity with concrete forming techniques and installation processes.
- Experience in masonry work is a plus.
- Ability to read blueprints and follow detailed instructions accurately.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality craftsmanship.
- Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials as needed.
- Good communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
