Job Overview
Compassion Homecare Services is seeking a reliable, compassionate, and patient Companion Caregiver to provide support for a client in Airdrie.
Schedule:
- Mondays: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
- Fridays: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
- Saturdays: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
- Sundays: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Position Summary:
The Companion Caregiver will provide companionship and supervision to the client while promoting safety, comfort, and overall well-being in the home environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide meaningful companionship and social interaction.
- Engage the client in conversation and recreational activities.
- Ensure the client’s safety and well-being at all times.
- Monitor for any changes in the client’s condition and report concerns to the office.
- Encourage participation in activities that support emotional and mental wellness.
- Provide reminders and general support as needed.
- Maintain professional and respectful communication with the client and family members.
Qualifications:
- Previous caregiving, companion care, healthcare aide, or related experience is an asset.
- Compassionate, dependable, and patient.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Current First Aid/CPR certification is an asset.
- Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search.
- Reliable transportation is preferred.
