The successful candidate will be working a mixture of on-site and off-site work based on the parameters for our operations to meet the needs of our donors, our staff and our communities. Currently, employees are expected to have an in-person presence for at least 40% of their work time. This requirement may vary depending upon circumstances.

About the role

Canadian Blood Services is looking for aTemporary full-timeCommunity Development Manager – Stem Cellto join our dynamicDonor Relations & Collections Eastteam.

TheDonor Relations & Collections Eastis responsible for supporting Canadian Blood Services by collecting donor blood in a safe manner to enable safe products which save lives every day. In this role, you will be responsible for generating and identifying leads, building relationships, and ensuring the growth and maintenance of a high quality, committed stem cell registry and supports cord blood collections in the Ontario and Atlantic region. You will also be responsible for community engagement and maintaining a good public image to ensure there is ongoing public support. The role works collaboratively with the overall national stem cell team and provides integrated leadership and management of the donor and registrant experience by planning and organizing various initiatives and events.

Formula for success

Event Coordination & Execution

Plans and executes stem cell recruitment events both in community and virtually to achieve the assigned goals.

Business Development Planning, & Recruitment Activities

Organizes and conducts information sessions/recruitment presentations to specific target groups, based on research into the community and its demographics.

Develops and executes a tactical recruitment plan for the area of responsibility to achieve targets

Responsible for finding and engaging with new registrants through referrals, networking, and prospecting.
