Ballad’s Workforce Development Division is hiring a new lead role for our Professional Insurance Careers (PIC) integrated training program. This program is an occupational skills training program with a focus in the Insurance industry. The objective of the program is to recruit, mentor and guide unemployed individuals who have a desire to rapidly re-attach to the workforce, gain and maintain meaningful employment in Insurance.

This position is:

Located in Edmonton’s downtown core and will work out of Ballad’s Training Centre

In Office, Full Time

Reports to Ballad’s Senior Program Supervisor

You want this position because you will:

Per cohort, you will focus on recruiting 16 qualified participants

Assess individual needs of potential participants and lead participant intake

Collaborate with team members to ensure that both the participants and facilitator have what is required for training on a daily to quarterly basis

Create a safe and positive environment where participants can learn and grow

Generate, foster and maintain professional contacts within the insurance sector with the focus on recruitment, work experience and job placement

Coordinate all internal and external events to support recruitment, work experience and job placement opportunities

Actively seek out positive solutions to solve challenges that arise

Be diligent in completing reports and filing as per Ballad standards

Enjoy communicating with potential participants over the phone, email, google meet and in-person

Prepare and submit monthly reports on time and without error
