SUMMARY:
Raven’s Brew Coffee, Inc. is a small (fewer than 20 employees) family-owned company founded in Ketchikan with two manufacturing locations and an administrative office.
We are seeking TWO enthusiastic self-starters to join our production team in Ketchikan. While both positions will be cross-trained in all roastery tasks, one will specialize as a Delivery Driver and the other will be a Production Roaster.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Production/Warehouse
Assist the Roastery Supervisor with: coffee filling, bag preparation, warehouse maintenance, cleaning and other duties as assigned.
- Prepare coffee bags for filling
- Fill and seal coffee bags
- Assemble boxes
- Grind coffee
- Assemble orders for customers
- Accurately pick, package and stock products
- Prepare orders for shipment, delivery, and pick-up
- Receive and stock freight
- Assist in inventory counts and stocking
- Help maintain production floor and storage bay in a clean, neat, and orderly manner
- Help clean all areas of the facility: vacuum, sweep, and mop
- Other duties as assigned
Delivery
Complete customer deliveries in accordance with company policies, acting as a representative of Raven’s Brew Coffee.
- Ensure every customer experience is exceptional
- Ensure company policies are followed regarding all aspects of customer deliveries
- Prepare orders for delivery, load the van
- Determine order needs for grocery customers and submit those orders to Customer Service using established processes
- Stock and clean grocery shelves/displays
- Communicate customer needs to roastery supervisor or Sales/Customer service, as appropriate
- Report any unusual customer interactions or news from customers to roastery supervisor or Sales/Customer service, as appropriate
- Assist in the maintenance and fueling of the company van, as requested
- Prepare and complete deposits for COD delivery customers
COFFEE ROASTER
Adhere to company roasting procedures each day and ensure quality of roasted coffee.
- Communicate with the Roastery Supervisor to prioritize roasting based on shipping deadlines
- Keep roasting area stocked, clean and free of obstacles
- Follow roasting system maintenance procedures.
- Report any equipment issues or concerns immediately
- Maintain green inventory in a clean and organized fashion
- Complete daily roast log
- Work with Operations Department for physIcal inventory, green coffee transfers & equipment maintenance.
- Stock coffee; receive, unload & label
- Follow all procedures including those related to FDA, FSMA and Organics
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- No tobacco use
- Independent work ethic
- Consistent and punctual attendance
- Ability to stand and work for long periods of time
- Attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
- Able to read, write and communicate in English and comprehend instructions
- Standard math and basic computer skills (i.e., email, shipping & label programs)
- Able to lift 30 – 55lbs frequently
- Forklift and pallet jack operation (all necessary training will be provided)
- Valid Driver’s License and driving record acceptable by our insurer
- Ability to expend substantial physical effort while working effectively in both indoor and outdoor environments under varying temperature/weather conditions
- Extended hours as needed to meet all seasonal production needs
