Position Summary
Project Coordinator with civil construction experience (Rail preferred) to join an international company to deliver a project in Toronto, in a construction site role providing support to operations staff and management in a dynamic and challenging work environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and to present information clearly
Strong communication skills, confident interacting with key contacts in verbal, written and electronic form
Support operations staff and project management team to ensure successful delivery of projects requirements
Preparation and submission of project deliverables including project specific plans, materials certificates, permits, licenses, reporting and other project documentation.
Perform general administrative and document control functions including the review and distribution of incoming deliverables and notices, preparation of correspondence and meeting minutes, tracking of project milestones, maintenance of files, logs, drawings and specifications
Support the contract management process: tender and award work or material supply; review and process invoices and progress claims, and assistance with the review of documents and inquiries
Assist with the change order process supporting to project management.
Ability to work in a team environment, multi-task, setting priorities to meet deadlines and project milestones
Coordinate the request for information (RFI) process, ensures RFIs are distributed to affected trades and maintains RFI logs and binders
Prepare purchase requisitions for approval and assists with procurement of materials and equipment.
Organize project close-out by preparing warranty package and requirements; collecting warranties and O&M manuals; creating turnover documents and assisting in demobilizing the site and archiving documentation
Willingness to contribute actively in team activities, sharing experiences and ideas
Work Conditions

Qualifications/Requirements:
Post-secondary education in Civil Engineering
3+ years’ experience in Civil Construction (Rail projects preferred)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong computer background including Microsoft Office package and MS Project
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
