Job Summary
The Certified Peer Specialist plays a vital role in supporting individuals in their recovery journey from mental health and substance use challenges. Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one support to clients, helping them navigate their recovery process.
- Utilize personal recovery experiences to inspire and motivate clients.
- Conduct group sessions focusing on coping strategies, life skills, and recovery planning.
- Assist clients in developing individualized recovery plans that align with their goals.
- Facilitate access to community resources and support services.
- Implement crisis intervention strategies when necessary to ensure client safety.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions and progress.
- Collaborate with mental health professionals to coordinate care and ensure comprehensive support.
Experience
- Proven experience in addiction counseling, mental health counseling, or social work is preferred.
- Familiarity with behavioral health systems and crisis management techniques.
- Strong skills in motivational interviewing and mentoring individuals facing challenges.
- Experience in crisis intervention is a valuable asset.
- A deep understanding of the recovery process from both a personal and professional perspective.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $15.11 – $23.85 per hour
