Job Overview

We are seeking a Certified Apartment Maintenance Technician to join our staffing team. This role is essential in maintaining the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of residential communities. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive skill set in facilities maintenance, electrical and plumbing systems, HVAC repair, and mechanical troubleshooting. As a Certified Apartment Maintenance Technician, you will ensure that all apartment units and common areas are well-maintained, compliant with safety standards, and provide an excellent living environment for residents. This position offers an opportunity to demonstrate leadership in maintenance operations while delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on residential units and common areas, including plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC units, and mechanical equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical issues utilizing schematics, electrical equipment repair techniques, and tools such as ohmmeters.
  • Conduct plumbing system maintenance and repairs to address leaks, clogs, or fixture malfunctions efficiently.
  • Execute residential painting projects to maintain property aesthetics and curb appeal.
  • Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other automated systems to troubleshoot facility operations.
  • Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to document work orders, track maintenance history, and schedule upcoming tasks.
  • Supervise or assist with maintenance team activities, providing guidance on safety protocols and best practices.
  • Maintain compliance with safety regulations by inspecting facilities regularly and addressing hazards promptly.
  • Support manufacturing or facilities operations when required by applying mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
  • Assist with the supervision of maintenance projects involving welding or electrical system upgrades.

Qualifications

  • Valid certification as an Apartment Maintenance Technician with demonstrated experience in residential property maintenance.
  • Proficiency in electrical experience including schematics interpretation and electrical equipment repair.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge related to HVAC system repair, plumbing systems, and general building maintenance.
  • Experience working with CMMS software for work order management.
  • Knowledge of MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations) supplies procurement and inventory control.
  • Ability to read technical schematics and schematics related to electrical or mechanical systems.
  • Skilled in welding techniques and electrical equipment repair methods.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes or industrial facilities maintenance is a plus.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English.
  • Supervising experience or leadership skills are desirable for team coordination roles.
  • Competency in using tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic instruments for troubleshooting.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 – $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
