Class 1 Fluid Hauler Jobs in Airdrie at Bob Miller Trucking Ltd.
Bob Miller Trucking 2001 Ltd is currently looking for a Class 1 Drivers to join our team. The Ideal candidate must have the following Qualifications:
- MUST have 3+ years of Class 1 experience specifically with fluid hauling (both Dangerous and Non-Dangerous Goods–MELT drivers may apply only if they have met the 3 years of class 1 fluid hauling experience)
- Clean Commercial Drivers Abstract (5 Year Commercial abstract is required prior to interview)
- Experience in road spraying is also an asset but willing to train the right individual.
- Experience operating a Tri-Drive Tractor and or Super-B’s is considered an asset.
- Versatility, mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn to operate different units (Tandem Tank Truck Units, Tractor/Trailer Combinations, Potable water units etc.), gain knowledge in the industry and work in a team environment are all qualities we place at a high value.
- Required Safety tickets for pre-hire: Standard First Aid and H2S Alive
- Clear understanding of fluid hauling operations, loading and offloading procedures
- Fit for Duty: Physically capable of lifting 50+lbs, be capable of completing hand spraying tasks, handling hoses, chain-up etc.
- Strong work ethic and proven reliability
- Ability to always pass drug and alcohol screening if required by customers.
- Minimum 3 references included on resume,candidates who do not include references in their application will not be considered.
- Experience in E-Log systems and fluent in the use of safety related smart phone applications is considered an asset as well as have general ability to run technology such as a computer.
- Must speak, read, and write fluently in English. French not required.
- Be willing to do hauls throughout British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba
Unfortunately consideration will not be given to those who do not meet the experience requirements.
Any Additional safety training is always considered an asset.
Responsibilities Include:
- Ability to work weekends and varying hours (days, nights, shift work, weekends, on-call as needed)
- Comply with all company Health and Safety Policies and Procedures at all times.
- Comply with HOS (Hours of Service) Rules and Regulations
- Maintain thorough and accurate paperwork and compliance standards for Transportation safety.
- Ability for confidence to navigate units safely in congested site atmospheres.
- Maintaining the cleanliness of the unit you are assigned to.
- Completing Pre and Post Trip Inspections
- Maintaining effective communication with dispatch
- Ability to assess situations, adapt to changing conditions, and make practical decisions in the field–We’re looking for someone who can identify problems, take initiative, and find solutions safely and effectively.
