About the Role:
IFG is seeking a results-driven Category Marketing Manager to support a global IT leader’s digital store expansion in Canada. This role is critical in developing category strategies, driving online sales growth, and leveraging customer insights to shape business decisions. You will collaborate across teams to execute campaigns, monitor performance, and deliver actionable insights, all within a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Planning & Business Execution
- Sales & Marketing Strategy: Define and implement sales and marketing plans across various direct channels, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Performance Management: Monitor and report revenue, unit sales, and key e-commerce metrics (visits, conversion rates, orders). Leverage tools such as Adobe Analytics, Excel, and Power BI to analyze performance and identify trends.
- Insights & Reporting: Build executive summaries and insights for weekly, monthly, and quarterly reviews, providing explanations for performance variances and actionable recommendations.
- Financial Planning & Forecasting:
- Develop and align financial outlooks, risks, and upsides by analyzing business drivers and assumptions.
- Support budget planning by building bottoms-up forecasts, using historical data and PxQ frameworks.
- Influence finance and category management decisions by providing market insights and feedback on assumptions.
- Global Coordination: Work with regional and HQ teams to align on campaigns, offers, and product roadmaps, ensuring consistency across markets.
2. Business & Customer Insights
- Data-Driven Decision-Making: Analyze traffic trends and sales data to support demand generation strategies. Utilize performance insights and voice-of-customer (VOC) data to inform merchandising plans and drive conversion rate optimization (CRO).
- Customer Insights: Partner with internal teams to develop deep customer insights and influence product and promotion roadmaps.
3. Demand Generation & Partnerships
- CRM & Email Marketing: Guide CRM email marketing strategy and content calendarization to drive customer engagement.
- Co-Marketing Partnerships: Establish and manage partnerships with external partners (e.g., PayPal) to reach new customer segments and drive incremental growth.
4. Innovation & Experimentation
- Merchandising Evolution: Develop and execute experimentation plans to optimize the customer experience, improve conversion rates, and maximize lifetime value (LTV).
Qualifications:
- Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with 2-3+ years in marketing, e-commerce, or category management.
- Analytical Skills: Strong proficiency in data analysis and reporting using tools like Adobe Analytics, Excel, and Power BI.
- Communication & Collaboration: Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills. Proven ability to collaborate across teams and influence stakeholders.
- Digital Marketing Expertise: Understanding of digital marketing, CRM, and e-commerce strategies across multiple product categories.
- Financial Acumen: Experience in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
