Home Hardware Cranbrook is looking for a Full-Time Cashier to manage transactions with customers accurately and efficiently. Cashiers play a critical role in customer service by providing customers with fast, friendly, accurate and safe service. Cashiers process transactions, answer customer questions, and ensuring customers leave satisfied. They proactively assist customers and direct them to open cash registers and various departments. You would be required to work a flexible schedule including evenings no later than 6:30p.m., weekends, and holidays. Responsibilities Ensure every item is scanned correctly. Collect payments whether in cash, debit, gift-card, or credit cards. Resolve customer complaints, guide them, and provide relevant information. Greet customers when entering or leaving the store. Maintain clean and tidy checkout areas. Bag, box or wrap packages as needed. Handle merchandise returns and exchanges. Requirements: Work experience as a retail cashier or in a similar role in sales Familiarity with electronic equipment, like cash register and POS (point of sale) system. Strong communication and time management skills Customer satisfaction-oriented Ultimately, you will ensure all transactions run smoothly and will help us maximize customer satisfaction.
