Carpenter Jobs in Columbus, IN at Driftwood Builders, Inc.
Duties:
– Perform metal stud and wood framing, blocking, sheathing and decking
– Install drywall, including cutting, fitting, and securing panels
– Perform fixture installation, such as shelving, cabinets, and countertops
– Restore and repair damaged wooden structures or furniture
– Perform selective demolition
– Install finish trim and casing
– Install siding on buildings, ensuring proper alignment and weatherproofing
– Hang doors and install hardware for proper functionality
Requirements:
– Proven experience as a carpenter or similar role
– Proficient in using carpentry tools and equipment
– Strong knowledge of woodworking techniques and materials
– Ability to read blueprints and follow technical drawings
– Excellent attention to detail and precision in measurements and cuts
– Physical stamina to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects
– Good communication skills to collaborate with team members and clients
