WE ARE LOOKING FOR A breakfast Cook 2 (iNTERMEDIATE COOK) to join our culinary team
This is an exciting role in applying your culinary passion and creating flawless dining experiences for our guests
What is expEcted of me in this role?
Working an 8-hour breakfast shift starting between 5 am and 10 am each day
An intermediate cook should have a professional knowledge of cooking ingredients and procedures
Candidate should be able to perform all basic cooking skills
Prepare meals by reviewing recipes; assembling, combining, and cooking ingredients to Hyatt specifications
Consistently maintain a sanitary and safe kitchen and work environment
Adhere to proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures; maintain temperature and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) logs as required; and maintain appropriate dating, labeling, and rotation of all food items.
Highly motivated, Learning to work multiple stations with the culinary department
Good team player, Strong communication skills
Flexible availability to allow most effective scheduling within department
Valid work authorization for Canada
experience
2 years of previous line experience
Culinary degree or related hotel experience is preferred
Ability to guide entry level cooks towards most professional approach to work
Demonstrated knowledge of and skill in ability to safely and effectively operate standard foodservice equipment

This role will typically allow a minimum of 30 hours per week
The starting hourly rate for this role is $21 CAD per hour
