We are looking for a full time person to work in our bindery department. You would work with production scheduler to make sure jobs are completed on time. You would operate various bindery equipment.
Bindery Specialist
This person is responsible for operating all of the bindery equipment in an efficient and accurate manner. Good organizational skills and a high degree of accuracy are required. The quality of output is essential.
Responsibilities
Daily
- Attends daily production meetings
- Produces jobs in the order determined by the Production Scheduler
- Checks due dates for all orders
- Informs Production Scheduler of any due date problems
- Ensures order accuracy
- Learn to operate the Duplo 626, Plocmatic 5035 booklet maker, Coil punch, guillotine cutter.
- Initial work orders to ensure jobs produced correctly.
- Show “first off” of all bindery operations to the Project Manager. (PM)
- Checks orders for quality and completeness before packaging and returning to
Customers
- Mount and laminate signs on various substrates.
- Assist with and learn how to install wall, window and retractable signs
- Learn to operate large format printers, application table & CNC router
- Lists supplies needed and gives to the Production Scheduler/Manager
- Operates equipment safely and in accordance with equipment instructions
- Cleans and organizes bindery area throughout the day
- Notifies Franchisee/Production Manager of equipment requiring servicing
Ongoing, as needed
- Restocks bindery department
Maintains cleanliness under equipment and carts
- Helps train employees on bindery equipment
- Assists other departments/completes special jobs as required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 – $16.01 per hour
