What do you need to be successful?

You have

a Master’s degree in Social Work or degree in Psychotherapy with a minimum of two years clinical experience

You are

currently registered with the OCSWSSW and Ontario Association of Social Workers or College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO)

You are

a motivated self-starter with superior technical, verbal and written

communication skills

You have

a valid driver’s license with access to a vehicle

You enjoy providing community based clinical services as part of a

multidisciplinary

trauma rehabilitation team, in clients’ homes

Interest in couple’s therapy would be an asset

You are

bilingual

What is a day in the life of a FA Bilingual Social Worker?

You will

provide assessment and counselling to clients who have experienced trauma, traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord and complex orthopedic injuries

You will

interface with the medical, legal and insurance systems

You will

connect clients with a variety of relevant community-based resources and services

You will

advocate for and help clients access community-based resources that would improve their well-being

You will

monitor, evaluate, and record client progress according to rehabilitation goals described in treatment and care plans

You will

provide detailed, comprehensive reports as part of the medical-legal system

You will

maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational days; training sessions, and establishing personal networks
