Barista Jobs in North York at M Chá Bar

Responsibilities:

Provide courteous and clear communication with customers to ensure a positive customer service experience
Prepare hot/cold, tea/non-tea-based drinks following the company’s standard recipes and customer modifications
Prepare toppings and brewing tea from the company’s standard recipes
Use the POS System to help customers order, and to input online/delivery app orders
Strictly follow health regulations, keep a clean and sanitized working environment (floor, bar table, stock room, machinery)
Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events, and to set a positive example for the shift team
Communicates information such as customer feedback and environment cues to the store manager when situations arise
Assists with new partner training by positively reinforcing successful performance and encouraging coaching when needed
Provides feedback to store manager on barista performance during a shift
Delivers the utmost professional customer service and responding quickly to customer needs/feedback
Develops positive relationships with the shift team by addressing individual concerns and needs
Executes store operations by organizing opening and closing duties
Following store policies in cash handling, food safety, and equipment safety
Ensuring that all store policies relating to upkeeping ingredient freshness is constantly upkept
Providing high quality beverages by accurately remembering recipes and correct procedures
Maintains regular and consistent attendance
Checking that everything is up to store standards, if not, identify the source and provide an action plan for the problem. (Labeling, cleaning, stock, topping/tea tasting)
Keeping baristas accountable for tasks by preparing sign list for fridge cleanliness, label with their name for toppings, etc…
Ensuring all members on barista team is working efficiently on their shifts (delegating tasks during shifts) to maximize store efficiency; balancing in-store and online orders
Ensuring the accuracy of the drink delivered to customers (straws, correct order etc..)
Scheduling staff according to their availability

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $16.55 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 8.5 per week
