Feeder – EVOL 100 (Printer Slotter Helper) Jobs in Hamilton at Atlantic Packaging Products Ltd
We are looking for a Feeder – EVOL 100 (Printer Slotter Helper) for our Hannon location. This position will be reporting to the Production Supervisor. Shift : Weekly rotating 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, 10pm-6am.
Broad Purpose
To safely operate and maintain all press equipment and machinery to produce quality products per company quality policy.
General Job Duties:
Must work in a team environment and be a team player
Follow instructions from the Operator
Perform any and all set-up procedures at standards set by the company
Prepare the machine for production and run at full speed or above the standard set by the company
Will be required to set up and operate machine as per orders on Automated take-off robot palletizer.
Assist Operator with problems and help to keep machine running to targets
Under lines of progression is required to back-up operator and fill in when on breaks or absent
Maintain specifications by observing the operation; detecting malfunctions, inspecting parts and adjusting controls as required
Visually and physically inspect continually for any non-conformances and document all information on quality KQCC form
Will demonstrate a continual commitment to safety, quality, production and continuous improvement
Utilize the required equipment to perform all the required quality inspections
Feed the machine at or above the standards set by the manufacturer
Perform quality checks before and during runs
Follow all required procedures
Reports all problems to your supervisor when they occur
Other duties as assigned
Safety Responsibility and Accountability:
Follow equipment specific physical lock out tag out procedure
Report all hazards / problems to your Operator and/or Supervisor when they occur.
Other available tools are when hazard rating is low.
Pre-use inspection form
Use Manager plus and place a work request
Use of hazard reporting form
Report injury / incident to your Supervisor immediately
Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with health and safety act, and Good housekeeping practices.
Proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) – Gloves, sleeves, safety glasses, safety shoes, hearing protection, Hi- viz vest in Shipping/warehouse
Abide by all plant rules, safety rules and regulations of the Company
Keep fire equipment and exits clear all time
Zero Tolerance – Workplace Violence and Harassment: Refer to the policy posted on the H&S board.
Education:
Minimum Grade 10
Basic Math
Essential Skills/Qualifications:
Previous manufacturing experiences an asset
Machine operation skills
Organization skills
Good communication
Flexibility to work rotating shifts
Team Player
