Overview
La Maison K is one of Ottawa’s leading bakeries and our team is now expanding! We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Baker & Cake Decorator to join our growing team. In this role, you will support the daily operations of the bakery, ensuring that high-quality baked goods are prepared and presented to our customers. You will also assist our team in cake and dessert decoration. You will work closely with experienced bakers, chef and staff in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the overall success of the bakery.

Skills and Responsibilities
- Experience in a kitchen or bakery setting is mandatory; familiarity with the food industry is a plus. Skills and experience in cake decorating.
- A willingness to take instruction and learn is essential.
- Strong attention to detail, especially in food and dessert preparation and presentation.
- A passion for cooking and meal preparation is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- Package finished products for display and sale, ensuring proper labeling and presentation.
- Support the team during busy periods by taking on additional tasks as required.
- Availability between 6am-2pm to help meet bakery requirements.
- Flexibility to work various days including weekends as needed.
