This is a dual-role position requiring both driving and hands-on moving.
Successful candidates will be responsible for operating company vehicles while also performing packing, wrapping, loading, and unloading of household goods. This role involves direct customer interaction and requires a high level of professionalism and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily pre-trip inspections and report any deficiencies
- Maintain accurate electronic log (ELD) documents and complete vehicle reporting promptly.
- Follow operational procedures and documentation requirements, reconciling discrepancies as needed.
- Routine communication with dispatch throughout the work shift
- Operate AZ vehicles in compliance with all regulations
- Load, unload, wrap, and pack household goods safely and efficiently
- Secure loads to prevent damage during transit
- Complete customer walk-throughs at origin and destination
- Maintain ongoing communication with dispatch
- Complete all required paperwork accurately and submit on time
- Maintain cleanliness and general condition of assigned vehicle
- Fluency in English language spoken and written
Work Expectations:
- Physically demanding role (lifting 65+ lbs regularly)
- Work performed in residential, commercial, and high-rise environments
- Exposure to varying weather conditions
- Strong time management and ability to stay on schedule
- Professional appearance and customer-facing conduct required
Requirements:
- Valid AZ license
- Minimum 2 years household moving experience
- Clean driver abstract
- Strong communication skills (English)
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Commitment to company procedures and safety standards
