Weissach, Canada’s largest independent Porsche store in Vancouver is looking to add an Automotive Technician to our team!
Reporting to the Service Director, and working cooperatively with all other teams, the Weissach Service Technician will be responsible to diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles in accordance with factory and retailer standards while working to promote and maintain the retailer’s quality standards.
Term: Permanent, Full-Time
No. of Positions: 1
Wage: $42 – $46/hr

Technical Responsibilities
Perform work as described on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with Company standards
Diagnose the cause of vehicle malfunctions and recommend / perform appropriate repair
Examine vehicle to identify necessary repair or maintenance items that may not be included on the repair order and communicate to Service Advisor
Notify the Service Director immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined on repair order is not needed or if repairs cannot be completed by the time promised
Clearly and accurately document all work performed
Road test vehicles as required or refer to the inspection technician as appropriate
Attend and successfully complete training as required by the company
Provide apprentices and colleagues with regular and up-to-date information on technical modifications and innovations on vehicle post training
Provide practical instruction and support for any assigned Apprentice Technician
Lubricate all moving parts with specified lubricants and conduct regular servicing as instructed and agreed.
Inspect fluid levels of power steering, transmission, differential, drain and replace as necessary
Replace air filters and pollen filters as necessary
Maintain and promote an orderly workspace and ensure your work area and service shop are maintained with clean working habits and organization.
Understand and follow all regulations governing disposal of hazardous waste
Logistical Responsibilities
Maintain the order and cleanliness of work areas, be accountable for all company owned tools
Meet all requirements of rules governing automobile repair and consumer protection
Position Requirements/Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years experience with European make models
Efficiency and timeliness in completing work
Complete tasks on schedule with responsibility and accountability
Interpersonal skills and collaboration – work effectively with employees and customers
Communication – professional written and verbal communication skills
Accuracy – complete transactions accurately and maintain records and maintain the integrity of our DMS system
