  • Job Overview
  • We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician or 2 to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to franchise and dealership standards, as well as some off brands as part of our used car portfolio.
  • We are looking for a teammate who will mesh well with our existing team. Red Seal, Service Station Tech or level 2 apprentices preferred.
  • 8am 430pm Monday to Friday, regular stat holidays and vacation as negotiated.

  • Conduct thorough vehicle diagnostics using schematics and mechanical knowledge to identify faults accurately.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance tasks, including engine repairs, brake replacements, and electrical system troubleshooting.
  • Utilise hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to carry out assembly, disassembly, and repair work efficiently.
  • Carry out equipment repair and welding as necessary to restore vehicle components to optimal condition.
  • Follow safety protocols during heavy lifting and equipment handling to prevent accidents or injuries.
  • Maintain detailed records of all work performed and communicate effectively with customers regarding repair status and recommendations.
  • Assist in vehicle inspections and ensure all work complies with industry standards and manufacturer specifications.

Skills

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics and technical manuals.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge of various vehicle systems and components.
  • Experience with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly processes.
  • Ability to perform maintenance tasks efficiently while adhering to safety standards.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients.
  • Capable of heavy lifting when required, with good physical fitness for working in a busy workshop environment.
  • Skills in equipment repair and troubleshooting complex mechanical problems are highly desirable. All positions are paid, including internships, providing valuable hands-on experience in the automotive industry.

Pay: $17.25-$32.00 per hour
