We are currently searching for the role of Quality & Inventory technician for our State College facility.
Position Summary: We are looking for a compliance generalist to join our small team in State College. The Quality & Inventory Technician will be responsible for quality assurance & test, shipping & receiving materials, and inventory control processes. This position ensures that all incoming and outgoing shipments comply with company standards and customer requirements.
Role and Responsibilities
Quality Assurance:
- Inspect & test incoming materials, assist in testing finished subassemblies & products as needed to ensure quality standards are met. Read engineering drawings and develop inspection plans.
- Work with engineers to configure electrical test equipment that achieves desired measurement capability.
- Record results, transfer them into database, and help interpret data to determine if parts meet specifications.
- Quarantine and disposition nonconforming materials.
- Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures and processes.
- Document control for AS9100 Quality Management System.
- Help maintain and calibrate quality control equipment.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and efficiency.
Shipping and Receiving:
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing lists.
- Prepare and package products for shipment according to company and customer specifications.
- Generate purchase requisitions, work orders, shipping labels, bills of lading, and other required documentation.
- Maintain accurate records and lot traceability of all production inventory and shipments including material picking/issue, receipts, transfers, scrap. Review & correct ERP error report.
- Perform cycle counts on a periodic basis.
- Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries.
Minimum Qualifications:
- US Citizenship required
- Associates degree – Technology / Finance or equivalent work experience.
- Basic understanding of engineering drawings, electrical measurements and testing.
- Excellent communication & teamwork, strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proven advanced Excel computer skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects, up to [insert weight limit, e.g., 50 lbs].
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Previous experience in electrical testing, shipping & receiving, quality control, or a manufacturing environment is a plus but not required.
Pay: $20.00 – $23.00 per hour
