Duties
- Assist customers in identifying and selecting the correct automotive parts and accessories, ensuring their needs are met efficiently.
- Manage inventory levels through accurate stock control, stocking, and order fulfillment to maintain optimal product availability.
- Utilize point-of-sale (POS) systems to process sales transactions accurately while handling cash and credit payments with professionalism.
- Provide technical support by applying automotive diagnostics and mechanical troubleshooting skills to advise customers on vehicle systems and maintenance.
- Collaborate with service technicians to ensure timely order fulfillment and seamless parts delivery for repairs or upgrades.
- Maintain organized records using inventory management software (CMMS) and Microsoft Excel to track stock levels, sales data, and order history.
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when assisting remote customers or vendors, ensuring clear communication at all times.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems, repair procedures, and vehicle maintenance practices.
- Proven experience in automotive diagnostics, automotive service, and parts management within a dealership or retail setting.
- Exceptional communication skills in multiple languages (bilingual/multilingual abilities are a plus) to serve diverse customer bases effectively.
- Skilled in negotiation and sales management to upsell products while maintaining customer trust.
- Familiarity with inventory control systems, POS software, CMMS platforms, and retail math for accurate stock tracking and sales analysis.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues confidently while providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
- Organizational skills to manage stock levels, order fulfillment processes, and maintain a clean work area efficiently.
