Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Dispatcher to join our growing auto parts business. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, can manage multiple priorities simultaneously, and has excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
This position is responsible for coordinating delivery drivers, managing routes, ensuring on-time deliveries, and maintaining communication between customers, drivers, warehouse staff, and management.
Responsibilities
- Dispatch and coordinate multiple drivers throughout the day
- Plan and optimize delivery routes for efficiency
- Monitor delivery status and address delays proactively
- Communicate with customers regarding delivery updates
- Coordinate with warehouse personnel to ensure orders are ready for dispatch
- Prioritize urgent and same-day deliveries
- Maintain accurate dispatch records and documentation
- Resolve delivery issues quickly and professionally
- Assist with scheduling and driver coverage when needed
- Support daily operations in a high-volume automotive parts environment
Requirements
- Previous dispatching, logistics, transportation, or auto parts experience preferred
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and email
- Experience with dispatch software is a plus
- Knowledge of automotive parts is a plus
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required
